friday!!!

i love fridays, dont you? they are just so great! and so the weekend begins...lol! after a long and heated debate on the walk to school, emilie and i have decided on making bran muffin cups for the horses. so here it is. *just to let you kow, all recipes are tested before they are posted. if they arent, you will be notified*

carrot bran cups:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups bran
1 carrot, grated
2 cups water
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda

preheat oven to 350* F and generously grease muffin tin and set aside.

in a large bowl, mix all ingredients together. this hsould form a thick batter/dough. scoop into muffin tins until they are 1/2 to 3/4 full. bake for 25-35 minutes, makes six muffins.

these are so amazing! last time i made them, i got sortof um, "in the moment" and i added 2 extra carrots, and apple and about 1/2 bottle of molassess! it ended up making around 20 muffins! this time i promise promise promise myself to not get crazy and i'll follow the recipe. LOL :D

the horses love the muffins. apparently they were super delish! oh gosh im soooooooo excited!!!!! i get to ride maddie! yay! i always do bareback. its so fun to gallop really fast with out a saddle. and if you fall in the snow, it doesnt hurt. unless theres a rock under the snow or something :(

carrot desert sticks:
2 carrots, halved, and the cut those halfs, in half
1/2 cup molassess
1/2 cup karo syrup
1 cup bran

mix molassess&karo syrup in a bowl. roll carrots slices in this mixture. then roll that in bran. the bran should stick really well. serve to a happy horse! or a sad horse becuase this will make a sad horse happy :)
