soup day

sorry if the main focus of this blog is hrose stuff. i can help you guys...sorry if you dont have a horse/pony but i hope its still interesting. so each horse will get a muffin. thats not too bad. the muffins arent too big... or tooo sugary or... the list could go on and on. and i really want to make them a soup to go with their muffin brunch. maybe i will make the soup for our oldest horse dancer. the rest will have to deal with a muffin. and a few mints, too, of course! besides, dancer really does need the extra calories and pampering. he is gettin on in his years, so a treat could help. and i just got that new bottle of corn oil which i have really been wanting to try. these recipes havent been tested yet but they arent baked or anyhting and they dont really need testing. i know the horses will like these. so i am making one for dancer. here they are :0)

munch 'n crunch veggie&fruit stew:
1&3/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup bran
1/4 cup quaker oats
1 apple, sliced
1 carrot, sliced
regular feed

mix warm water, bran, oats apple and carrot. then sprinkle enoguh grain to cover the top about 1/4 inch. serve to horse.

steamy muffin side slurp:
2 cups warmish hottish water
1/4 cup karo syrup
1 carrot, grated
1 apple, grated
1 cup regular feed
dash of corn oil

mix all together and serve warm.

hm thats all i have for today. hope it helps!
